Registration dates for ABE and ELA Winter/Spring classes:

ABE Classes (Literacy, Pre-GED and GED): By appointment January 8-11

ELA Classes (English Language/ESOL/ESL): By appointment January 8-11

New learners are accepted up to two weeks into the term. Call 410-261-3517 for late registration appointments. 

How do I register for classes?

You must make an appointment to register for classes. Call Ms. Davis at 410-261-3517 to make an appointment. Registration is a three to four hour process. You will learn about the expectations of the program, fill out paperwork, and take a computerized placement test. Everyone is welcome to register regardless of immigration status. If you have a social security number or permanent resident card, please bring it with you, but it is not required. There is a $10 book fee due at registration.

Registration takes place at Strong City’s Adult Learning Center (or at the off-site locations listed at the bottom of this page):

The ALC is close to MTA bus lines Silver and 22 and the purple Circulator line.

When do classes start?

Spring classes (two days per week) start January 16, 2017 and conclude June 7, 2018.

A spring mini-mester will begin April 2 and conclude June 7. Mid-term registration will be held March 20 & 21, by appointment.

Offsite Registration and Classes

Registration for Offsite classes takes place at the Adult Learning Center, located at 3501 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21218 on the dates above. Classes at these locations are held during the fall and winter/spring semesters only. No summer classes are held at the locations below.
