Food, Fun, and Community at Charles Village Festival 2013

June 4, 2013

This past weekend, residents and friends of the Greater Charles Village community came together at the annual Charles Village Festival, which took place at the corner of 29th and Howard Streets. Festival-goers enjoyed a variety of food and crafts vendors, beer and wine for the adults, games and activities for the kids and nonstop live music for all. GHCC was one of the local organizations present!

Those who visited our table were asked to share why they LOVE where they live, be it the city of Baltimore in general or a certain neighborhood. What our neighbors and friends have shared reminds us that there is no place like home, and Baltimore is our home. Communities across the city were represented, from Loch Raven to Cherry Hill:

  • “I have lived in Charles Village for over 40 years, and I love Charles Village because of the fun, friendly environment, the Painted Ladies, convenient location, and the diverse, strong sense of community.”
  • “Remington residents are the most creative and interesting bunch of people I have ever met.”
  • “The tree-lined streets in Waverly are beautiful enough for advertisements! Waverly is peaceful and welcoming, and the 32nd Street Farmers Market is awesome.”

Thank you to all who attended the Charles Village Festival and stopped by our table to share why you love where you live. GHCC thrives with your continued involvement!
