October 25 – 27: Baltimore Blaq LGBTQ+ Pride 2019, hosted by The Center for black Equity-Baltimore
This year the theme is Revival. Everyone to come out and celebrate. Please see the events below and sign up. Space is limited so please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
- Oct. 25: Community Opening Celebration – This year we will be at Center Stage. More information is coming soon. Check The Center for Black Equity-Baltimore website.
- Oct. 26: Healing Brunch – This space is such a unique experience and last year was a very powerful moment for our community to explore love, healing, and collective transformation. The food is catered and will be delicious. So please sign up, share, and come out.
- Oct. 26: Halloween Masquerade Party – Featuring a catered food, open bar, as well as DJ Deekie West playing great music. We will also have Crown Prince Keith Ebony Holt as our MC. RSVP
- Oct. 27: Family Fun Day – This will be a fun and exciting time for folks with families to come out and play! We’ll have games, music, and will be a good time overall. RSVP
November 1: Beautiful Butterflies Private Screening of “Harriet”
Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes, whose courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history. Support this Beautiful Butterflies, Inc. fundraiser as we try to INSPIRE, EMPOWER and TRANSFORM the lives of girls in Baltimore City to be catalyst of change like our ancestors such as Harriet Tubman.
November 2: Strong City Baltimore Presents – Investment, Disinvestment and Neighborhood Change in Baltimore
Save the date! Strong City is hosting a 50th anniversary discussion panel on “Investment, Disinvestment, and Neighborhood Change in Baltimore,” with local writers Marisela Gomez, Klaus Philipsen, Elizabeth Nix, and Lisa Snowden-McCray; moderated by China Boak Terrell. Free.
Nov 22: Baltimore Community Engagement Fair at Impact Hub
The Baltimore Community Engagement Fair + Career Clinic is 2-events-in-one!! At the fair, there will be some of Baltimore’s top local nonprofits who are making a difference and are actively seeking to hire new employees within their organizations. At the clinic, professional career advisors provide free career services to help unemployed African Americans on their job search.
