2017 Neighborhood Institute

Each year, Strong City Baltimore puts on the Neighborhood Institute– a daylong event of workshops that provides over 300 community residents, neighborhood leaders, and community development professionals with the training and tools they need to tackle challenges big and small. The theme for our 10th Annual Institute is Strong Roots, Radical Growth: Honoring the Past, Building for the Future. 29th Street Community Center’s Movie Night Under the Stars

The 29th Street Community Center is hosting its Movie Night Under the Stars as a part of our 4th Birthday Weekend Celebration on May 5th and 6th! Movie Night Under the Stars  When Friday, May 5th, 7-9pm We'll be showing the movie Moana! Free popcorn will be provided, just make sure to bring your own blanket!

Organized blocks are the foundation of strong neighborhoods.  Learn more about how to start a block captain program, asset based community development, and techniques to engage neighbors to build your community. Strong City Baltimore has over 40 years of experience building and strengthening Baltimore's neighborhoods and people. Workshops are $10 and open to the public - residents from across Baltimore City are encouraged to attend!
