Intake and Assessment Specialist, JoAnn McKinney with Obed Dominguez.

Obed Dominguez, a 2008 graduate of the Greater Homewood Adult Learning Center and External Diploma programs, recently came back to visit. He wanted to share that he just completed his degree Program at Baltimore City Community College, and is now the proud holder of an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science for Electrical Technology!

His next plans include enrolling in Towson University this fall for computer science. Obed has also pledged to return to GHCC to assist with enrolling new learners by sharing his own personal success story with them. Congratulations, Obed!

You can support learners like Obed by attending the 11th Annual Scrabble Fundraiser for Literacy on Saturday, April 14. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Greater Homewood Adult Learning Center, which offers free literacy instruction to more than 600 Baltimore City adults each year.
