Business plan created for new community center

July 1, 2013

This past Wednesday, GHCC hosted a number of community members and key stakeholders at the former Barclay Recreation Center for a business plan presentation. Graduate students from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business spent an entire semester crafting a 65-page, five-year business plan for the newly reopened center. The plan outlines a vision for the center to be a hub of energy, learning, and growth for the community.

Wednesday’s presentation sparked new ideas, further brainstorming, and proactive planning for the attendees. We want to thank Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke, Coleen Duncan (representing Councilman Carl Stokes), Tom Lewis, Vice President of Government and Community Affairs at Johns Hopkins University, fellow JHU colleagues, members of GHCC’s staff and board leadership, and the Center’s Community Council for attending this great evening. We look forward to what the future has in store for the former Barclay Recreation Center!
