BMOG BBQ: A Great Success

July 26, 2013

I love bubbles

The Annual Barclay/Midway/Old-Goucher (BMOG) Barbeque went off without a hitch – even the weather cooperated! Neighbors came out to enjoy the breezes and good food. There were games for the children: three-legged races, spoon races and sack races. Our volunteer magician kept the attention of children from pre-school to middle school. For the adults, Cheryl Carmona of Boone Street Farm came to educate the community on fresh produce available in their own back yard.

Special thanks to the Telesis Corporation for providing “give-away” shares for our neighbors. Judging by the happy faces, everyone had a wonderful time. Many thanks to GHCC staff for volunteering and to BMOG for sponsoring the event. And finally, many many thanks to Mrs. Connie Ross of BMOG for assuring that this annual event becomes a part of Barclay tradition!
